Curriculum
Students engage with the Australian Curriculum, which guides teachers in developing personalised learning goals for each student through their One Plan. These goals focus on the curriculum’s general capabilities, including:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Personal and social capability
- Critical and creative thinking
One Plan goals are created in collaboration with parents and carers during term 1 and reviewed in term 3 each school year. Student progress is assessed and reported based on their achievement toward these individualised goals.
Senior Secondary Pathways
Students in years 10 to 12 work towards achieving a Modified South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). This curriculum is tailored to each student’s needs and is developed in consultation with families during One Plan meetings.
Teachers use a variety of assessment methods to track progress, including:
- Teacher observations
- Student work samples
- Photographic evidence
- Checklists
Learning Areas
In addition to general capabilities and modified SACE, students explore subjects from the Australian Curriculum, including:
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS)
- The Arts
- Technologies
- Health and Physical Education
This broad and inclusive curriculum ensures students receive a well-rounded education that supports both academic growth and life skill development.
