STUDENT SUPPORT
Learning support for students
Mount Barker High School offers a range of support to meet the diverse needs of our students. Access to these programs is arranged in consultation with a member of the student services team.
Students receiving support through the Inclusive Education Support Program (IESP) will have a student profile record on Daymap or One Plan developed in collaboration with staff and parents/caregivers to guide their learning. They may also receive SSO support in classes to assist their individual needs.
The learning hub is a quiet, inclusive space designed for students with additional learning needs who receive IESP support. It provides access to SSO and teacher assistance as needed, enabling students to complete work in a supportive environment.
Access to the learning hub is by referral through the Assistant Principal – Inclusion and is primarily for students eligible for IESP funding at QDTP, Supplementary, Substantial, or Extensive levels.
If you need any information about learning support, please contact the school.

STUDENT SUPPORT
Help desk support and homework club
Our school provides several structures to support students with homework and catch-up work.
Help desk support is available during recess and lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing students with quick access to assistance when needed.
In addition, Homework Club meets on Wednesday afternoons, providing a dedicated time and space for students to complete assignments. This is held in conjunction with the Wednesday Club, which is held in the Resource Centre at 2:05pm.
