Content

Through negotiated projects and application tasks, students develop knowledge, skills, and understanding of framing and carcase construction. Attention is required to WH&S requirements in safe operating procedures.

Under guided instruction, students will produce a side table, learning how to use Fusion 360 Software to create joints and parts of products.

Students undertake a design process, investigating and analysing products that connect to their design brief. They develop and plan concepts that create various solutions for the brief. Students apply skills, processes and procedures to create a product that best meets their brief. They evaluate the design process and product they have created in response to their design brief.

Students investigate and analyse the functional characteristics and properties of two or more materials of their choice.
