ContentThis course gives students the mathematical abilities and skills required in the workplace and in everyday life. They learn how to approach new challenges by investigating, modelling, reasoning, visualising, and problem-solving with the goal of communicating to others the relationships observed and the problems solved. Topics may include:

Additional InformationStudents will require an approved SACE Graphics Calculator (recommended TI-84 Plus CE). Students must complete both semesters of General Mathematics (A and B) if they intend to do year 12 General Mathematics. To meet the SACE numeracy requirement, students must achieve a C grade in 10 credits of year 11 Mathematics. Students will be enrolled in Mathematics classes based on teacher recommendations and parent approval. Teacher recommendations are based on previous achievements, PAT results and career pathways. Negotiations can be made if a specific pathway is required for students. |
