Wellbeing team
At Mount Barker High School, our Wellbeing team is dedicated to supporting all students’ mental, emotional, and social wellbeing so they feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
Our team collaborates with students, families, and staff to create a positive and inclusive school environment where every student can thrive.
In our role, we:
- Support students with friendships, emotional wellbeing, and personal concerns
- Provide a safe and confidential space to talk
- Work alongside families when additional support is needed
- Connect students with external services when appropriate
- Run groups, clubs, and wellbeing-focused activities
- Promote a whole‑school approach to wellbeing and mental health

How students can access support
Student can access the support of the Wellbeing team by:
- Speaking with their House Group teacher or House Leader
- Visiting the wellbeing space in the student hub
- Sending a Daymap message direct to the Wellbeing team
- Parents/carers can contact the Wellbeing team directly via [email protected]

School Mental Health Service
Mount Barker High School hosts the School Mental Health Service, a free Department for Education Service providing short-term support for students experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. Our on-site practitioners are Lynley Heath and Natalie Howard.
