Finding confidence in the outdoors

Outdoor Education proves to be a journey of resilience, friendship and self-belief

Our year 9 Outdoor Education students have just completed their semester‑long course, developing real survival skills, deepening their understanding of Leave No Trace principles, and discovering new confidence in the outdoors. Many students found themselves connecting with classmates they might not usually talk to, while others uncovered new passions, from a love of hiking to the peaceful moments experienced on our excursions.

Students shared that this course is about much more than outdoor trips. It teaches respect for the environment, teamwork, and self‑discovery. They would proudly recommend it to others and are already excited for future multi‑day hikes and adventures.
