Behind the scenes at Monarto mushroom farm

A group of students and staff had an incredible behind‑the‑scenes experience at Costa’s Monarto Mushroom Farm!

Welcomed by State Manager Brian Backhouse, they toured one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most advanced mushroom‑growing sites and learned how a 14–15 week cycle and 24/7 operations keep more than 20 million mushrooms flowing to market each week.
