Valuable day of learning

Ten of our senior Agriculture students joined four other schools at the Mount Pleasant Showgrounds for a hands‑on Beef Assessment School hosted by the SA Group of Angus Australia.

Led by Jake Phillips of Phillips Livestock Solutions, with support from local Angus breeders, students learned to assess steers and heifers for commercial markets, feedlots, and breeding.

The program offered a focused environment for those passionate about the beef industry and also helped prepare competitors for the Adelaide Show’s School Steer Competition.
