Content To develop knowledge, skills and understandings of mathematical techniques and analyse, interpret and communicate mathematical information. Topics may include: Mathematical Induction Complex Numbers Functions and Sketching Graphs Vectors in Three-Dimensions Integrations Techniques and Applications Rates of Change and Differential Equations
Assessment Investigation Folio 20% Integration Investigation - 15 pages Skills and Applications Tasks 50% Six tests - one for each topic One Skills and Applications Task must be undertaken without the use of either a calculator or notes Examination 30% Students undertake a 130-minute examination The examination is based on the key questions and key concepts in the six topics
Additional Information Students will require an approved SACE Graphics Calculator (recommended TI-84 Plus CE) Year 12 Specialist Mathematics must be studied in conjunction with Year 12 Mathematical Methods.
