The David Floyd Smith Prize

The David Floyd Smith Prize commemorates the impact of sub clover and fertilisers on the productivity of agriculture in Southern Australia and the way in which these impacted the career of a farm boy who attended Mount Barker High School from 1941 to 1945.

Prize    
The prize will have a minimum monetary value of $500.00 and include a copy of David’s book, Natural Gain, and a CD of his other literature. The prize can be used for study expenses or travel.

Eligibility
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Year 11 or 12 student at Mount Barker High School

  • Live in the Mount Barker Region

  • Display an interest in agriculture and conservation
