ContentThis course provides students with the opportunity to further develop their fundamental knowledge in preparation for Year 11 and 12 Physical Education. Units of study include anatomy and physiology, movement concepts and strategies, fitness components and training methods and principles. The practical component extends the range of sports activities that students have covered in the compulsory courses in Years 8, 9 and 10. The continued development of game skills and knowledge to improve performance is the focus. However, students will also be expected to develop and display personal qualities, attitudes and behaviours consistent with positive outcomes for individuals and groups. |
